About Me
Elexis S. Jacobs
Undergraduate Student at Auburn University
Hello! I'm Elexis, a student philanthropist, activist, and aspiring juris doctorate candidate. Advocating for those in need has been a passion of mine and I am committed to being a voice for marginalized communities. With a strong background in diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives I am well-equipped to advocate for the rights of underrepresented groups and prepare for a career in law, politics, and education. Likewise, as a student leader, I am dedicated to fostering a culture of collaboration and mutual respect, where all voices are heard and valued. I believe that by working together, we can create positive change and promote social justice. Ultimately, my goal is to use my skills and experience to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others, both in my academic pursuits and in my future career.

A Bit About Me
Currently, I am a senior at Auburn University majoring in English Literature with a minor in Political Science on Pre-Law track. My current academic goals are to graduate in May of 2024 with a Bachelors of Arts and further my education as a prospective juris doctorate candidate. Currently, my top school is Louisiana State University, which is located in Baton Rouge, LA. After achieving my degree and passing the state BAR (the test that which a lawyer must pass before they can work within the jurisdiction of law), I hope to return to school and receive my LLM, or a Master of Law, which would enable me to have my doctorate becoming Dr. Jacobs!
As a first-generation college student, I have always understood the immense value of education. It is because of this that I have set high goals for myself and am dedicated to achieving them. Pursuing multiple degrees is a testament to my unwavering commitment to learning and growing, as I believe that education is the key to unlocking one's full potential. I am proud to be a first-generation college student because it allows me to serve as an inspiration to others who may have had similar experiences. By demonstrating that with hard work and determination one can overcome any obstacle and achieve their dreams, I hope to inspire and empower others to pursue their educational aspirations.
I am eagerly anticipating the day when I walk across the stage to receive my bachelor's degree, becoming the first in my family to achieve this milestone. This achievement is not only a personal victory, but a symbol of hope and possibility for future generations. I am grateful for the opportunities and support that have brought me to this point, and I am excited to continue on this path of growth and accomplishment. War Eagle!
My Fur Friends
When I'm not at school or work, most of my time is spent at home watching over my two cats, Godiva and Hershey. They aren't your typical cats, as they are a different breed called Oriental Shorthairs so they look and behave differently. They have coined the nickname "Dobby" from the famous Harry Potter elf.
Godiva is Hershey's biological mother and she is 6 years old, while Hershey is only around a year old. They are both very vocal. In fact, Oriental Shorthair cats are the #1 breed for most vocal, smart, and hypoallergenic cats. I would encourage everyone to get their own fur-friend, it's beyond worth it!
