Accessibility Statement for Elexis Jacobs' ePortfolio

This is an accessibility statement from Elexis Jacobs' ePortfolio.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Elexis H. Jacobs' ePortfolio is fully conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Fully conformant means that the content fully conforms to the accessibility standard without any exceptions.

Additional accessibility considerations

Although my goal is WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance, I have also applied some Level AAA Success Criteria: Text description within images not pertaining to visual aid and design. I wanted to ensure I designed a website which was not only aesthetic but accessible to have both easy to read text with colors that are contrasting and clearly defined photos which were not used for visual aid and design.
